Jon Barlow is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Finitive. Prior to Finitive, Mr. Barlow was the founder and CEO of Eaglewood Capital Management, an investment firm with roughly $2 billion in assets under management. In 2014, Mr. Barlow led the sale of Eaglewood Capital to an affiliate of Marshall Wace LLP (MW Eaglewood), a London-based alternative asset manager. He served as MW Eaglewood’s global CEO, overseeing its New York and London business units until his departure in 2015. During his tenure at Eaglewood, Mr. Barlow pioneered algorithmic and programmatic trading of direct lending investment strategies; successfully completed the IPO – on the London Stock Exchange – of the world’s first publicly traded online lending credit fund; and closed the first securitization of peer-to-peer loans. Previously, Mr. Barlow worked at Lehman Brothers as a Portfolio Manager within proprietary trading. Mr. Barlow graduated with a B.S. (cum laude) from Brigham Young University and is a CFA charter holder. He has served as a board member and advisor to eight companies within the alternative lending and fintech sectors.
Christopher Johnson is a Co-Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Finitive. He recently served as the Managing Director of Prospect Capital Management L.P., where he led the online lending investment initiatives of the firm. Prior to Prospect, Mr. Johnson was Vice Chairman and Head of Capital Markets Practice at Berenson and Company, Inc. He spent nine years at Deutsche Bank Securities in various roles, including Head of the Restructuring Advisory Group, Co-head of Global Media Investment Banking, and Co-head of Telecom Americas Coverage. Mr. Johnson worked at Merrill Lynch for fifteen years, including positions as Co-head and Chairman of the Global Leveraged Finance Group. He has an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Virginia, and a B.S. (cum laude) from Washington and Lee University; at the Darden School, he received the William Michael Shermet award for academic excellence. Prior to receiving his MBA, Mr. Johnson served as a Lieutenant (USN) in the United States Navy.
Raman Kannan is the Chief Technology Officer at Finitive where he manages all software development and technology. Additionally, Mr. Kannan is a part-time professor teaching (i) Big Data Technologies at NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering; and (ii) Machine Learning at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies. Prior to Finitive, Mr. Kannan was a technology strategy consultant, focusing exclusively on data-driven solutions by integrating cloud computing, NLP, sentiment analysis, and advanced machine learning capabilities into traditional enterprise applications. Previously, Mr. Kannan also served as the CTO at Rosenblatt Securities and the Director of Technology at Five Mile Capital. Mr. Kannan started his work in semantic web while working on a DARPA project from 1988-1992. His work on distributed computing was recognized by TCOS IEEE and the Distributed AI Shell and was published in IEEE Expert 1992. Mr. Kannan holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, an M.S. Computer Science from West Virginia University, a Ph.D. in Physics from West Virginia University and an M.S. in Physics from University of Roorkee, India.
Caroline Hayes is a Co-Founder of Finitive and the Head of Data Science & Quantamentals. In this role, she leads the integration of complex algorithms and machine learning with deal structuring and fundamental investment analysis. Prior to Finitive, Ms. Hayes co-founded Heathcote Partners, a boutique financial consulting firm providing both investment and operational analysis. Ms. Hayes has also served as a Vice President in the Portfolio Management Group at BlackRock as a member of the Model-Based Fixed Income team, where she programmed and evaluated quantitative algorithms to assess credit and interest rate investments. Prior to BlackRock, she was an investment banker with Goldman Sachs covering alternative asset managers, and a structured products analyst at Morgan Stanley. Ms. Hayes gradated with both a B.S. (with honors) in Mathematical and Computational Sciences as well as an M.S. in Financial Mathematics from Stanford University.
George Kaouris is a Co-Founder and the Chief Operating Officer at Finitive. Prior to joining Finitive, Mr. Kaouris was the President of Credit Suppliers, an online lending platform focused on financing trade receivables in the construction supply chain. He also served as Managing Director and the Head of Commercial Real Estate Operations at Five Mile Capital Partners, an alternative asset management company. While at Five Mile, Mr. Kaouris built and refined platforms for commercial real estate ($6 billion), fixed rate commercial loan originations ($4 billion) and residential real estate ($600 million) investments. Mr. Kaouris also worked at Greenwich Capital Markets, where he instituted best practices for managing warehouse lines and contract finance functions. Mr. Kaouris holds a BBA in Accounting from Baruch College, The City University of New York.
Christopher Lewis serves as General Counsel at Finitive. Prior to Finitive, Mr. Lewis was the Chief Compliance Officer for Arrow Funds. He also served as Managing Director and General Counsel of Eaglewood Capital Management, where he worked on the first securitization of peer-to-peer loans. Mr. Lewis previously worked as General Counsel and Director at Alaric Compliance Services LLC, a New York-based compliance consultancy, focusing on legal and compliance issues in the fund industry. Prior to that, Mr. Lewis was a Partner and Chair of the Opinion Committee at the law firm Thacher Proffitt & Wood in New York with a focus on securitization and structured finance. He also was a Partner at the law firm Simmons & Simmons in London, England where he was the head of their U.S. securities practice. Mr. Lewis received a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A., magna cum laude, from The College of William & Mary. He is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York.
Mark Whitehead is a Co-Founder and the Head of Product at Finitive. Prior to Finitive, Mr. Whitehead was an Advisory Consultant at Deloitte. He also consulted at Volkswagen Consulting, headquartered in Wolfsburg, Germany. Mr. Whitehead graduated with a B.S. and Global Management Certificate from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University.
Jack Abraham is a Co-Founder and Partner of Atomic Management LLC. He co-founded Atomic in 2012 and served as the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Abraham serves as Advisor of Felicis Ventures. He was the Founder and served as Chief Executive Officer of Milo.com, Inc. Mr. Abraham is an angel investor in Invite Media, Pinterest, Postmates, Ampush Media, and Flatiron Health. Mr. Abraham began coding and building some of the first data extraction and processing mechanisms that would quickly help comScore (SCOR) grow. He has experience developing behavioral targeting campaigns for Microsoft and Drugstore.com. Mr. Abraham serves as a Director of Milo.com, Inc. He served as Director of eBay Local, where he led the redesign of eBay’s homepage. He also led the efforts behind eBay Now. He has been named in Business Week’s Top 25 Under 25, Inc’s 30 Under 30, and Fast Company’s Top 100 most creative people in business. He was nominated for “America’s Best Young Entrepreneurs” by BusinessWeek and has made Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list two times. Mr. Abraham studied Technological Entrepreneurship at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2008.
David Johnson is the Chief Executive Officer at First Associates, the fastest growing loan servicer in the country. Mr. Johnson has over 25 years of experience across industries including finance, technology, and artificial intelligence that gives him a unique insight into today’s financial landscape, as well as a keen eye for future trends and opportunities. He has also served as a consultant with positions at both McKinsey & Company and Bain & Company, working with Global 500 clients across North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Mr. Johnson is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, a partner at Social Venture Partners and serves on the board for several other organizations. Mr. Johnson earned his BS from UC Berkeley and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
